Shane Troll, Artistic Director & Co-Founder
Shane earned his Master of Music in Conducting with honors and his undergraduate degrees in Vocal Performance and Music Education from California State University at Chico. He has completed three levels of training and is a certified instructor from the San Francisco Orff Course. In his 16 years of teaching music, Shane has become a recognized and sought-after industry expert in music education for young singers. He was the featured presenter at the Western ACDA Conference in 2010; the Kansas Summer ACDA Music Conference in 2011; the National Orff Conference in Denver, Colorado in 2013; the New Jersey Youth Choir in 2014; the New England Orff Chapter in 2015; and the National Children’s Choir Conference in New Jersey in 2016. Shane’s teaching experience is a broad-based mix as elementary school instructor and entrepreneurial music educator. He served as Associate Artistic Director of the Cantabile Youth Singers for 10 years; he was director of music at Pinewood School for 13 years; and he is the co-founder of the iSing Girlchoir. Shane is a dynamic leader and innovator in his approach to elementary music education and is currently working on a book highlighting his strategies about the integration of elementary classroom music and choir rehearsal methodologies. Shane is a proud California native, having lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for his entire life.
