Why Support iSing

Award-winning choral education nonprofit iSing Silicon Valley serves 300 girls from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, offering them innovative and rigorous musical training, guiding them toward the highest level of artistry, and helping them to find the power and the value of their individual and collective voices, through choral music. Singing is transformative in our singers’ lives. iSing girls engage deeply with their art, and with one another, finding a creative outlet for self-expression, training in collaboration and leadership, and learning the value of community.

iSing relies on the generous tax-deductible support of individual, institutional, and government funders. During the 2022–23 season, earned revenues from tuition will cover only about 57% percent of the projected cost of our comprehensive music education programs.

If you would like to support iSing’s mission and champion iSing girls, making a fully tax-deductible contribution is easy. Click the above button to donate online, or mail your gift to iSing Silicon Valley, at 600 Colorado Ave, Palo Alto, CA. 94306.

iSing’s Impact, by the Numbers

Whether you are inspired by the musical home that iSing creates for our singers, the extraordinary musical opportunities we offer singers, our artistic achievements, or our commitment to inclusivity, your generosity makes all the difference in making possible our impactful educational and artistic programming for girls who love to sing.

  • This year, more than 300 girls from Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, and Marin Counties are participating in iSing’s Palo Alto and Redwood City programs.

  • Over 80% of the middle and high school age singers in iSing’s upper choruses have been singing with iSing for 6 or more years.

  • 100% of the iSing families who request scholarship support and demonstrate need receive requested funds, with the average scholarship supporting 75% of tuition.

  • iSing@RWC offers iSing’s teaching team and innovative teaching methods to girls from Title 1 schools in Redwood City tuition free — and provides more than 85% of participating singers with their only access to music education and choral programming.

  • iSing’s awards include the Chorus America Dale Warland Singers Commission Award (2018), the Grand Prize win at the International Robert Schumann Choral Competition (2018), and the World Champion title at the 2023 World Choir Games in Gangneung, South Korea.

  • iSing celebrated our 10th anniversary season with our 30th commission. iSing’s commissioning initiative creates a forum for girls to respond to the world around them through music written expressly for them. Our 2023–24 season features 6 new commissions for treble choir!

  • iSing is sharing our singers’ voices around the globe, with our newest album release love & light (Avie Records, April 2023); our debut album Here I Stand (Innova Recordings 2020); and singles Drift and So Quietly.

iSing thanks all of the individuals who help to make possible our educational and artistic programs, and our ongoing commitment to inclusivity. iSing also thanks these institutions: California Arts Council, the California Nonprofit Performing Arts Grant Program, SVCreates, and The County of Santa Clara for their support of iSing’s operations.
